Stuart Dickson – Chairman, Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong: “We are absolutely delighted and honoured, to have Tim and the Wooden Boat Shop in conjunction with YANMAR, as naming rights partners for both the 2016 and 2018 Wooden Boat Festivals of Geelong. The obvious synergy with the Wooden Boat Festival and Tim’s business, along with the long, wonderful relationship with Royal Geelong Yacht Club, means the beginning of something great for everyone involved. Tim has been a supporter of this event for many years, and we now very much look forward to an exciting Festival which will be strengthened significantly by the partnership, reputation and support from The Wooden Boat Shop and YANMAR. “
Tim Phillips – Director, Wooden Boat Shop: “When Stuart Dickson approached me to participate in the inaugural Geelong Wooden Boat Festival back in 2005, it struck me as a great opportunity to share and celebrate the heritage, beauty, uniqueness and passion associated with wooden and classic boats in Victoria. The last ten years has seen the Geelong event, grow and prosper into the role of Victoria’s own wooden boat festival. Such an important future foundation for our local wooden and classic boat movement. It is with a great sense of enthusiasm for these values that we have stepped forward and partnered with YANMAR to offer our support for the Wooden Boat Shop YANMAR Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong in 2016&18”
The Royal Geelong Yacht Club is the owner and facilitator of the Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong, which is the second largest of its kind in Australia.
